Vice President of Energoatom Jakob dismissed from office after suspension in Nov – sources

Acting member of the board and vice president of Energoatom Hartmut Jakob has been dismissed from office, an Energy Reform source in the government reported.

"A decision has been made to dismiss him. I think we will learn about it publicly today," the source said

As reported, Jakob was dismissed by the government in November 2025 after the publication of the materials of the Midas case by NABU/SAPO on large-scale corruption in the energy sector, in particular, money laundering at Energoatom.
