Heating returned some buildings in Dniprovsky district of Kyiv – mayor
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced the start of heat supply restoration in the Dniprovsky district on the left bank of Kyiv.
"Heat has begun to return to some of the houses in the Dniprovsky district that were without heat supply after previous devastating shelling by Russia. Utility workers continue to work around the clock to restore the supply of coolant to all high-rise buildings," Klitschko wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
As reported, as of February 17, more than 1,100 multi-story residential buildings in the Dniprovsky and Darnytsia districts of Kyiv remained without heat following previous shelling by Russia. It was not possible to supply heat to them due to critical damage to the Darnytsia CHPP (combined heat and power plant), which served these districts. Experts previously estimated that the restoration of the facility would take at least two months.
