Meeting of Umerov with Witkoff and Kushner in Geneva to begin at lunchtime
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and head of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation Rustem Umerov will hold a meeting with American negotiators in Geneva on Thursday, February 26.
As a source close to the negotiating group told Interfax-Ukraine, the meeting between Umerov and U.S. representatives Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner is scheduled to begin at lunchtime on Thursday.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Witkoff announced on February 24 a meeting with Umerov in Geneva.
Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that during the meeting with Witkoff and Kushner on Thursday, Umerov would discuss a recovery package for Ukraine, preparations for a future trilateral meeting, and details regarding the exchange of prisoners of war.
