Ukrainian arms manufacturers enter into partnership agreements with companies in Denmark, Finland, and Latvia worth approximately EUR 800 mln
Four Ukrainian defense companies have signed a package of documents with partners from Denmark, Finland, and Latvia, totaling approximately EUR 800 million, according to the Ukrainian Council of Arms Manufacturers.
"The agreements cover cooperation in the production of unmanned systems and ground robotics… Some documents establish the initial level of cooperation, while others define the framework for further steps and plans for production programs. The key goal ... is to rapidly increase production of solutions needed by Ukraine and integrate Ukrainian technologies into EU industrial chains," reads a message posted on the union’s website.
Thus, the Ukrainian company Culver Aerospace and Copenhagen Global A/S (Denmark) have agreed to cooperate on unmanned aerial vehicle production as part of a five-year program. The partnership focuses on long-range strike unmanned aerial systems (up to 2,500 km) and medium-range strike systems (up to 400 km).
TENCORE (Ukraine) and INSTA (Finland) also agreed to cooperate on the TerMIT ground robotic platform and the production of ground robots for Ukraine.
Remtecnology (Ukraine) and New Paakkola Oy (Finland) have agreed to cooperate on the production of the tactical multi-purpose ground robotic platform LEGIT.
"The project is currently in the process of establishing a joint venture in Finland and moving toward scaling and commercializing this development. The immediate plans include producing 1,500 units for the Ukrainian army, with further increases in the coming years," the association reported.
An agreement was signed between Terminal Autonomy Ukraine (Ukraine) and SIA Baltic Forces (Latvia) that lays the foundation for further cooperation in the field of unmanned systems (reconnaissance, medium-range strike systems, long-range strike systems) and missile solutions, in particular cruise missiles and air defense systems. This is currently at a preliminary stage without mandatory commercial or technical conditions.
"It’s symbolic that these signings took place on February 24. On this day, which became a major test for Ukraine, we are finally talking about scaling and systemic industrial cooperation with European partners. We greatly appreciate this trust and are pleased that the Build with Ukraine model is working in practice," emphasized Ihor Fedirko, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Council of Armorers.
It is noted that Ukrainian manufacturers, who quickly developed products to meet real combat needs, are moving toward systemic industrial cooperation with European partners, which allows for accelerated serial production, increased supply chain resilience, and product readiness for long-term use in international markets.
"These kinds of partnerships create a stronger position and more efficient use of resources, knowledge, and technology compared to working in isolation. This collaboration allows us to achieve results that would be impossible to achieve alone. Moreover, in today’s environment, where speed has become critical, cooperation in production often becomes the key to success," emphasized Maksym Vasylchenko, CEO of TENCORE and a representative of the Ukrainian Robotic Forces.
