Russia strikes Naftogaz facilities in Kharkiv, Chernihiv regions for 2 consecutive days – Naftogaz head
Russian aggressors have been striking gas infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions for two consecutive days, using approximately 60 attack drones in total, said Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz Ukrainy.
"Russia continues to attack Naftogaz Group facilities. For two days straight, attacks have continued on gas storage sites and production facilities in Kharkiv region and Chernihiv region. Approximately 60 attack drones were used in total," Koretsky wrote on Facebook.
He said that destruction has been recorded at the facilities.
"As soon as the security situation allows, company specialists together with units of the State Emergency Service will assess the consequences and begin eliminating them," the head of Naftogaz said.
As reported, throughout February 24, Russian forces once again attacked gas production infrastructure of the Naftogaz Group. This time a facility in Kharkiv region. As a result of the attack, its operations were suspended. Since the beginning of the year, Russian forces have carried out 26 attacks on Naftogaz Group facilities.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 312 Naftogaz employees have been killed at the hands of the enemy.
