Trump in address to Congress: We are making every effort to stop killings between Russia and Ukraine

President Donald Trump, in his annual State of the Union address to Congress, stated that he is "working very hard to end the killing and the slaughter between Russia and Ukraine."

"We are making every effort to put an end to the ninth war—the killings and slaughter between Russia and Ukraine, where 25,000 soldiers are dying every single month," Trump said during the broadcast of the address.

He also mentioned the "eight wars he has ended."

"Think of that: 25,000 soldiers are dying a month," he repeated, adding that "this war would have never happened" if he were president.

"As president, I will seek peace wherever I can," he emphasized.
