Together with Poland, we are strengthening protection of critical infrastructure and countering Russia sabotage – Interior minister

Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko discussed with Minister-Coordinator of Special Services of Poland Tomasz Siemoniak the protection of critical infrastructure and the counteraction of Russia sabotage and agents.

"Met with Minister-Coordinator of Special Services of Poland Tomasz Siemoniak. Thanked Poland for its consistent support of Ukraine. We have worked together for a long time and understand well: the security of both countries today is our common challenge," Klymenko wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted: "We talked about the most important things: protection of energy and transport, countering Russia sabotage and agents, information attacks, and the enemy’s discredit campaign to disrupt mobilization."

According to Klymenko, Russia recruits people through social networks, pushing them toward arson and terrorist acts. "Last week, the National Police already disrupted the preparation of a series of high-profile murders. And yesterday’s terrorist attack against law enforcement officers in Lviv is another proof of the enemy’s purposeful attempts to destabilize Ukraine," the minister added.

He emphasized that during the conversation with his Polish colleague, they separately discussed the exchange of experience.

"Ukraine has practice in countering drone attacks, and Poland has strong capabilities in service coordination. Together, we are strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure and preparing joint solutions for the future," he stressed.

In addition, as the minister informed, they agreed to expand training and practical interaction between the departments.

"European security today begins in Ukraine. We act together," Klymenko said.
