Russia shells towns and villages of Donetsk region 19 times over the past day, 5 residents wounded – regional administration

Five civilians in the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region were wounded over the past day as a result of shelling by Russia over the past 24 hours, February 22, four of them in the city of Druzhkivka, reported the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.

"In Lyman, a car was damaged. In Mykolaivka, two private houses, a multi-story building, two trucks, and a passenger car were damaged; in Raihorodok, three houses were damaged; in Malynivka, two houses were destroyed and 16 were damaged. In Sloviansk, three private houses, a shop, and three shopping pavilions were damaged. In Kramatorsk, one person was wounded. In Zoloti Prudy of the Oleksandrivka community, a house and a harvester were damaged. In Druzhkivka, four people were wounded, and 10 houses were damaged," Filashkin wrote on Telegram on Monday morning.

In total, according to his information, Russia shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 19 times over the past day. In other districts, destruction was also recorded, but without casualties. "Pokrovsk district. In Zoloty Kolodiaz and Toretske of the Shakhove community, 2 houses each were damaged… Bakhmut district. In Riznikivka of the Siversk community, a house was damaged," the head of the regional administration said.

From the settlements on the frontline, 99 people were evacuated over the past day, including 20 children, Filashkin reported.

As reported, on February 21, Russia shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 12 times, killing three and wounding another civilian. On February 20, Russia shelled settlements in the region 18 times, wounding four civilians. On February 19, no information regarding civilian casualties in the Donetsk region was received.

On February 21, 197 people were evacuated from the frontline over the day, including 20 children; on February 20 - 562 people, including 244 children; and on February 19 - 187 people, including 45 children.
