There’re 10,000 North Korean soldiers on Russian territory – Zelenskyy
There are currently 10,000 North Korean soldiers on Russian soil, and the danger is that they are gaining knowledge about modern hybrid warfare, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Ten thousand North Korean soldiers are currently stationed on Russian territory. It’s extremely dangerous that they’re gaining knowledge about modern hybrid warfare. They’re learning to counter missiles, various types of drones, including fiber-optic drones, from FPV to long-range UAVs," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Kyodo News, excerpts from which were published on the head of state’s Telegram channel.
According to the president, North Korean soldiers are training in Russia because Ukraine is responding to Russian attacks.
"So they have this opportunity. What will they do with this knowledge? At a minimum, they will bring this experience and knowledge home to North Korea," he noted.
