Nova Poshta begins testing Hypershell exoskeletons in operations

2 min read

Ukraine’s leading express delivery company Nova Poshta, part of the NOVA group, has launched a pilot project to test Hypershell exoskeletons for use at terminals and depots, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

"We aim to make work at terminals and depots safer and more comfortable for employees. That is why we are systematically reducing physical strain in operational processes where full automation is currently more difficult to implement," Nova Poshta’s R&D Director Yevhen Khomenko said in the release.

According to him, the company’s goal is to make warehouse operations easier and more productive.

As part of the pilot project, employees are testing four exoskeleton models: Hypershell X GO, Hypershell X PRO, Hypershell X CARBON, and Hypershell X ULTRA. The main function of the technology is to assume up to 30% of the effort typically expended by muscles while walking or moving, thereby easing mobility.

"This reduces physical strain, helps employees maintain a steady work pace, and feel less fatigued by the end of their shift," the company said.

After the testing phase is completed, Nova Poshta will decide on further use of the exoskeletons and the potential scaling of the technology.

Nova Poshta increased revenue by 21% in 2025 compared to 2024. The number of parcels and shipments delivered in 2025 rose by 7.4%, from 486 million to 522 million, including a 52.6% increase in international shipments, from 19 million to 29 million.

Nova Poshta’s core business is the express delivery of documents, parcels, and palletized oversized cargo. Its ultimate beneficial owners are Volodymyr Poperezhniuk and Viacheslav Klymov.

As of early January 2026, the company’s network comprised more than 50,000 service points, including 15,900 branches and 34,200 parcel lockers.
