Kherson region to receive EUR 1 mln from German state of Schleswig-Holstein to strengthen energy sustainability
Schleswig-Holstein (a state of the Federal Republic of Germany, located in the northern part of the country) is transferring EUR 1 million to Kherson region to strengthen energy sustainability, 13 vehicles for evacuating the wounded and supporting the work of emergency services, protective nets, vests and ballistic shields, said head of the regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
"This amount is twice as large as originally planned. After our presentation to the regional government, they decided to increase the aid. We will also receive 13 vehicles, including armored ones, for evacuating the wounded and supporting emergency services. We expect the first three vehicles this month," he wrote on his Telegram channel Wednesday.
According to Prokudin, separate arrangements were made for the supply of nets to protect civilian infrastructure from constant Russian drone attacks. "In addition, we are expecting other important support: an ambulance, protective vests and ballistic shields, seeds of local crops for experimental cultivation, generators and fan heaters for Invincibility Points," he said.
"I sincerely thank Prime Minister Daniel Günther and the entire government of Schleswig-Holstein for this important support," Prokudin added.
