Finnish govt announces provision of humanitarian aid worth EUR 20 mln to Ukraine
Finland will provide humanitarian aid worth EUR 20 million to Ukraine, said Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio.
"Ukraine urgently needs help. In wartime conditions, a harsh winter and energy shortages are making life difficult for people. By my decision, Finland will provide Ukraine with EUR 20 million in humanitarian aid," he wrote on social media platform X on Wednesday.
Earlier that day, Ukrainian parliament Deputy Speaker Olena Kondratiuk also spoke about humanitarian support from Finland. According to her, the Finnish government will send Ukraine an additional 52 generators in February and increase its humanitarian support to EUR 22 million.
