During the two-day negotiations in Geneva, Ukraine, the U.S., and the Russian Federation were constructive regarding the military direction; in particular, the military understands how to monitor a ceasefire and the end of the war, more details will follow after the team returns to Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

"First of all, there are two directions—military and political. Here I want to say that all three parties in the military direction were constructive—in my opinion, based on the briefing I just had; more details will follow upon the return of my group. But for now, what I heard is that the military understands how to monitor a ceasefire and the cessation of the war, if there is political will," Zelenskyy told journalists on Wednesday.

The President noted that he considers this a constructive signal. He added that other details, specifically regarding the monitoring of "technical nuances," will be reported to him by the Chief of the General Staff of the AFU, Anatoliy Barhylevych, in a broader format after the return to Ukraine.
