Some 99,000 consumers remain without power in Odesa region – OVA
Following the shelling of the energy system on the night of February 15, electricity has been fully or partially restored to the homes of 60,500 families in Odesa region, while 99,000 consumers currently remain without power, head of the Regional Military Administration (OVA) Oleh Kiper has reported.
"The second day after the destructive shelling of the Odesa region energy system. Substations have been damaged; in parts of the region’s districts and Odesa, there is no electricity, heat, or water. The situation is difficult. (...) Yesterday, light was fully or partially returned to the homes of 60,500 families in Odesa region. Temporarily, 99,000 consumers remain without power," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
According to him, the operation of distribution heat hubs at more than 20 locations will be ensured by generators from the State Emergency Service, which have already arrived and continue to arrive.
In Odesa, 21 additional warming centers ("Points of Invincibility") have been deployed to support people, where they can charge gadgets, get warm, and receive assistance during prolonged outages.
