First day of talks in Geneva ends; political, military groups to continue work tomorrow morning – Umerov
The first day of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia has ended in Geneva, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov said.
"After the joint part, work continued in groups by direction. Discussions focused on practical issues and the mechanics of possible solutions. As of today, both the political and military blocs have completed their work," he said in Telegram on Tuesday.
Umerov thanked his U.S. partners for "constructive interaction and readiness to work at a working pace."
He also informed that a report on the results of the first day of talks in Geneva will be made to the President of Ukraine today.
"Tomorrow morning the political and military groups will continue their work," Umerov, who heads the Ukrainian negotiating team, said.
