AFU Air Forces: 25 missiles and 367 enemy UAVs shot down/suppressed, with hits made in 13 locations

The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down or suppressed 25 missiles and 367 enemy UAVs, recorded hits from four ballistic missiles and 18 attack UAVs at 13 locations, and debris falls at eight locations, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Tuesday morning.

"On the night of February 17 (from 18:00 on February 16), the enemy attacked with four Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Rostov region of the Russian Federation, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 20 X-101 air-launched cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea, four Iskander-K cruise missiles from Kursk region of the Russian Federation, an X-59/69 air-guided missile from the airspace of Donetsk region, as well as 396 Shaheds, Gerberas, Italmas attack UAVs and other types of drones from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo of the Russian Federation, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, about 250 of them were Shaheds," the Ukrainian Air Forces said on their Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:30 a.m., the air defense shot down/suppressed 392 aerial targets: 20 X-101 air-launched cruise missiles; 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles; one X-59/69 guided air missile and 367 enemy Shaheds, Gerberas, Italmas UAVs and other types of drones.

The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.

Thus, the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense systems was: 100% against X-101 cruise missiles; 100% against Iskander-K cruise missiles; 100% against X-59/69 air-to-air missiles; and 92.68% against attack UAVs.

The overall effectiveness of destroying air targets in Ukrainian airspace was 93.11%.

Let us recall that the previous massive strike by the occupiers was carried out on February 12, when the enemy attacked Ukraine with 24 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles, an X-59/69 guided air-to-air missile, and 219 attack UAVs. The air defense shot down or suppressed 213 aerial targets, recording hits of 9 missiles and 19 attack UAVs at 13 locations. The air defense shot down or suppressed 213 aerial targets: 15 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles; 1 X-59/69 guided air-to-air missile; 197 enemy Shaheds, Gerberas, Italmas UAVs, and other types of drones. Hits of nine missiles and 19 attack UAVs were recorded at 13 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 14 locations.
