Ukraine better come to the table, fast – Trump on talks in Geneva
US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine should quickly come to the negotiating table. The White House published an audio recording of Trump’s response to journalists’ questions on its YouTube channel.
Trump was asked, in particular, what he expected from the talks in Geneva with the participation of his representatives Witkoff and Kushner.
“These are big talks. It’s gonna be very easy. So far, Ukraine better come to the table. It’s all I’m telling you. We want them to come,” Trump stated.
As reported, a new round of negotiations between the USA, Ukraine, and Russia will take place in Geneva on February 17-18. The Ukrainian negotiating team includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov, head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia, First Deputy Head of the President’s Office Serhiy Kyslytsya, and Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skybytsky.
