Ukrainians equally skeptical and positive about peace talks progress - Razumkov Center/Kyiv Security Forum
As many Ukrainians are skeptical as they are positive about the progress of negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, according to a sociological study prepared by the Razumkov Center at the request of the Kyiv Security Forum (KSF).
Some 32.7% of respondents believe that the Ukrainian government’s negotiations with the USA, EU, and Russia regarding a possible peace agreement are "rather unsuccessful," while 17.4% believe they are "not successful."
Some 33.6% of respondents assessed the negotiation process positively: 30.7% said they were "rather successful," while 2.9% said they were "successful."
Some 16.3% of respondents were undecided.
The sociological survey was conducted by the Razumkov Center, commissioned by the Kyiv Security Forum, from January 31 to February 4, 2026, using telephone interviews. Some 1,003 respondents aged 18 and older, residing in all government-controlled regions of Ukraine covered by Ukrainian telephone operators, were interviewed. The sample structure reproduces the demographic structure of the adult population in the territories surveyed as of the beginning of 2022 (by macroregion, age, gender, and settlement type). The theoretical margin of error does not exceed 3.2%.
