Ukraine shoots down 2 out of 6 enemy missiles overnight, 52 of 62 drones overnight, hits at 8 locations
Ukraine neutralized 52 enemy drones and two missiles on the night of Monday, but one missile and nine strike UAVs were recorded hitting eight locations, as well as the fall of downed (fragments) at two locations, the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
"According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense shot down/suppressed two Zircon anti-ship missiles and 52 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and drones of other types," the Telegram channel of the Air Force reported.
It is noted that on the night of February 16 (from 18:00 on February 15), the enemy attacked with four Zircon anti-ship missiles, an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a guided aircraft missile, as well as 62 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas strike drones and drones of other types. About 40 of the strike drones are Shahed UAVs."
The attack continued as of 9:00, several enemy UAVs were recorded in the airspace.
The overall effectiveness of the air defense has now exceeded 79%.
