President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz met in Munich and discussed joint projects for weapons production and diplomatic work, the presidential press service said.

"The key topics of discussion during the meeting are further military assistance, additional contributions to the PURL program, diplomatic work to achieve peace and energy support," the press service said in a statement on the website on Friday evening.

The president said today he saw with his own eyes the first Ukrainian-German enterprise for the production of drones. "This is exactly the kind of cooperation that makes our countries stronger. We discussed how to scale up," Zelenskyy said in the Telegram channel following the meeting.

It is reported that the parties paid special attention to diplomatic work to achieve peace. The head of state informed about the meetings of the Ukrainian, U.S. and Russian sides and preparations for the next negotiations. The president also spoke about the work on the documents and their key points.

In addition, the parties spoke about the situation in the Ukrainian energy sector and recovery. The head of state thanked Germany for the support provided and informed about the current needs.

The head of state thanked Germany for its significant contribution to protecting lives during the full-scale Russian war. "I thank Germany for its contribution to protecting lives during the full-scale Russian war, in particular for the supply of air defense systems that saved the lives of thousands and thousands of our people," Zelenskyy said.
