Merz assures Ukraine of support at opening of Munich Security Conference

Germany supports Ukraine in its courageous resistance to Russian imperialism, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has said.

"We support Ukraine in its courageous resistance to Russian imperialism diplomatically, politically, economically and militarily. Incidentally, during the year, Germany and Europe have taken on the most important leading role. We have inflicted unprecedented losses and damages on Moscow," Merz said at the opening of the Munich Security Conference.

He noted that a cluster of defense technology companies is rapidly developing in Munich, which is developing revolutionary technologies, partly in close cooperation with Ukraine.
