Sybiha: Today, Ukraine is point of invincibility of Europe, its main center of stability
At the opening of the Ukraine House on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that Ukraine must now become "an integral part of the new European security architecture" and emphasized Ukraine’s crucial role in collective security.
"We have just saw and opened this ‘Ukraine House’... Today’s event demonstrates that Ukraine is a priority for this year’s conference. We have entered a new era. Outsourcing security to Europe is over. The time has come to build internal strength. And this is only possible if Ukraine becomes an integral part of the new European security architecture," the minister said.
Sybiha also mentioned the slogan of the current Ukraine House: "Under Destruction."
"Ukraine House isn’t about showing what Russia is destroying. It’s about showing what Ukraine is building: defense, innovation, resilience – solutions that make Europe stronger. We’ve learned a hard lesson. And we’re ready to share it. Over the next two days, Ukraine House will be a place to talk about Ukraine – but not just about Ukraine. Because this concerns all of Europe: from the battlefield to energy security, from supply chains to defense innovation," he noted.
The minister recalled that so-called points of invincibility have been established throughout Ukraine.
"I want this Ukraine House to become a point of invincibility for the Munich Security Conference. A center for clear thinking, solidarity, and action. A place of information where you can find your true inner strength. Today, Ukraine is Europe’s point of invincibility—its main center of resilience," the Foreign Minister emphasized.
Sybiha noted that the Ukraine House is also a place to honor the memory of our fallen heroes, and reminded them that remembrance is not a crime.
"This House also honors the memory of our fallen heroes. This is a place of remembrance. I want to emphasize once again that remembrance is not a violation. This place transforms remembrance into determination," Sybiha said, recalling the Ukrainian skeleton racer Heraskevych, whose participation in the conference was planned and who "reminded the world of true Ukrainian dignity."
"I am grateful to the leadership of the Munich Security Conference for making this House possible," Sybiha concluded.
