"The destruction is extremely serious. Repairs will require a long time to return the equipment to working condition," his Telegram message said.

DTEK added that crews are working at the site of destruction and clearing debris.

"We will do everything possible to eliminate the consequences of the attack as quickly as possible. The priority task is to restore electricity to critical infrastructure facilities," the energy holding said.
