British Defense Secretary John Healey, at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, called for increased military support for Ukraine in 2026.

As reported by an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, he announced this at the opening of the 33rd meeting in the Ramstein format in Brussels on Thursday.

He said the military support pledged that day at the UDCG would have a direct impact on the frontlines, but stressed that partners needed to dig deeper into their reserves and their budgets. He warned that nothing was off limits to Putin, accusing him of killing Ukrainian children in their beds, destroying hospitals, and plunging entire cities into darkness and cold.

Healey said that in 2025 the UDCG had raised $45 billion in military aid for Ukraine. He said that in 2026 even greater efforts would be required, urging partners to raise their ambitions. He added that Putin was watching their actions and insisted that the message should be one of greater unity and determination in supporting Ukraine.
