Zelenskyy: Key task at Ramstein is to accelerate with air defense packages
The key task for Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov at the meeting in the Ramstein format is to accelerate with air defense packages for the Ukrainian air defense, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"The task of the Minister of Defense – he is now with the Europeans and our other partners at Ramstein: we need to accelerate with air defense packages for our air defense. This is a key task now not only for Ukraine, but for everyone in Europe," Zelenskyy said in an evening address on Thursday.
The president said Russia should not get used to the fact that their missiles and Shahed UAVs help them in some way.
"They only complicate everything and undermine diplomatic opportunities, which, to be honest, are few," the head of state said.
That is why, according to him, support for Ukraine is needed, and sufficient pressure on Russia is needed.
"We need to end the war with guaranteed security and certainly without any rewards for the aggressor for this war. These are prerequisites so that Europe is not simply swept away by other Russian strikes – new aggressions, the same massive attacks against other European states that we are currently repelling in Ukraine," the president said.
