Russia unleashes 243 missiles and drones on Ukraine overnight, 213 shot down
On the night of Thursday, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 24 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 guided air missile, and 219 strike UAVs; air defenses shot down/suppressed 213 aerial targets, while 9 missiles and 19 strike UAVs scored hits at 13 locations, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"On the night of Feb. 12 (from 18:00 on Feb. 11), the enemy attacked with 24 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles from Bryansk, Voronezh, and Rostov oblasts of Russia, and the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of Crimea; one Kh-59/69 guided air missile from the airspace of the TOT of Donetsk oblast; and 219 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and other types from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo in Russia, and Hvardiyske in the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea — around 150 of them Shaheds. The main strike directions were Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa," the statement on Telegram said.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defenses shot down/suppressed 213 aerial targets: 15 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles; 1 Kh-59/69 guided air missile; 197 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and other types.
Hits were recorded from 9 missiles and 19 strike UAVs at 13 locations, with debris from downed targets falling at a further 14 locations.
