Russian attack on Kyiv leaves almost 2,600 high-rise residential buildings without heat – mayor
Almost 2,600 high-rise buildings in the capital were left without heat after a massive attack last night, due to damage to critical infrastructure, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said.
"These are high-rise buildings on both the left and right banks of the city, in particular in the Desniansky, Dniprovsky, Pechersky and Solomiansky districts. Utilities are already working to restore heat supply to these buildings," he noted.
According to Klitschko, more than 1,100 high-rise buildings in the Desniansky and Darnytsky districts also remain without heat after previous shelling. Due to critical damage to the Darnytsky heating plant, it is currently impossible to supply heat to these buildings.
