Zelenskyy: We haven’t received response from Russia to proposal for energy truce, they’re hesitant about Miami meeting
Ukraine has yet to receive a response from Russia regarding an energy ceasefire, and instead continues to receive missile attacks, indicating that the Russians are not ready for the one, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
"We haven't received a response from the Russians regarding an energy ceasefire. On the contrary, it must be said, we've received a response in the form of drones and missile attacks. Therefore, this suggests that they are not ready for the energy ceasefire proposed by the American side in Abu Dhabi. For now," Zelenskyy told reporters on Wednesday.
According to the president, the American side proposed a meeting in Miami next week. Ukraine immediately confirmed its readiness, but Russia is hesitant.
"We are ready. It doesn't matter to us whether we meet in Miami or Abu Dhabi, as long as we get results," he emphasized.
