Kyiv municipal workers clear snow and ice from city streets

In Kyiv, 105 units of special equipment and 400 municipal workers are carrying out de-icing and clearing roads and sidewalks from snow, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) has said.

"Some 105 units of special equipment from Kyiv Avtodor are involved. 400 workers are also involved in 61 manual cleaning brigades," the report said.

As reported, the main highways, bridges, slopes and ascents are being cleared of snow and treated with de-icing agents as a priority. Road workers are also clearing snow and treating stops, narrow sidewalks, stairs, safety islands, and pedestrian crossings with de-icing agents.

Meanwhile, 2,819 employees of municipal management companies and seven units of equipment are clearing and treating adjacent areas with de-icing agents.

"Green builders" are also working in parks and squares. Some 19 pieces of equipment and 574 workers were involved in snow removal and landscaping.
