Russians are blackmailing the families of Ukrainian prisoners, demanding they register Starlink systems, which were used by the Russian occupation army to establish communications for military units and kamikaze drones, according to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

As noted in a Telegram post by the Coordination Headquarters on Tuesday, the Ministry of Defense, in collaboration with Space X, managed to disable illegal Starlink terminals. "With their help, the aggressor country's army established communications for military units and kamikaze drones, which were causing significant damage in the rear. Seeking a way out of this predicament, the occupiers turned their attention to the families of prisoners. Threats and demands to officially register Starlink terminals in their names have been recorded," the Coordination Headquarters stated.

The Coordination Headquarters noted that collaborating with the enemy is extremely dangerous. "Officially registering an enemy terminal makes it easy to identify the perpetrator, as this process requires proof of identity. The enemy exploits the vulnerability of families. They don't care about the fate of Ukrainians: they are a disposable resource. If the terminal is used to control drones that destroy infrastructure and claim lives, the fact that the terminal is registered by a Ukrainian citizen is grounds for criminal prosecution," the Coordination Headquarters noted.

If citizens receive offers or threats to register terminals in their own names or any other form of blackmail, they are advised to contact the Coordination Headquarters and law enforcement agencies.
