Naftogaz facilities under massive Russian strikes for second day

Russian aggressors are hitting oil and gas facilities of Naftogaz Group for the second day in a row – they again attacked facilities in Poltava region after yesterday’s shelling and carried out massive attacks in Sumy region.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy again shelled the company’s production assets in Poltava region and carried out new large-scale attacks on facilities in Sumy region, which are ongoing," Naftogaz said on its website Monday.

Naftogaz CEO Serhiy Koretsky said equipment was damaged and destroyed.

"Fortunately, there are no casualties. Once the security situation stabilizes, our specialists will begin restoring the aftermath of the attack," he said.

According to the report, emergency services and all relevant units are working on site. The company emphasized that this is the 20th attack on Naftogaz facilities since the start of the year.

It was previously reported that on the night of February 8, Russian forces launched another large-scale drone strike on Naftogaz facilities in Poltava region. Equipment was damaged, but no one was injured.
