Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant resumes work after enemy attack – city mayor
The Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant (Ivano-Frankivsk region) is gradually restoring work after the Russian attack, said the mayor of the Burshtyn community, Vasyl Andriyeshyn.
"Our heat-generation company was damaged by enemy shelling during the night from Friday to Saturday. As of today, heat supply, as well as cold and hot water, has been partially restored, but not yet fully," he wrote on Facebook on Monday.
Addressing residents of apartment buildings, Andriyeshyn noted that the heating system contains air pockets, which must be removed by venting internal building networks.
"Management companies are carrying out this work, but due to staff shortages, residents are asked, where technically possible, to participate in the process themselves. This is important for establishing a stable hydraulic regime and full heat supply," he wrote.
It was reported that the Russian Federation struck the Burshtyn and Dobrotvir thermal power plants on Saturday night.
