Joint Forces Group denies occupation of Hlushkivka near Kupyansk
Reports by Russian occupiers about their alleged capture of the village of Hlushkivka in Kupyansk district of Kharkiv region are untrue, according to the Joint Forces Group’s Telegram channel on Monday.
"In addition to Kupyansk and Kupyansk-Uzlova, the village of Hlushkivka in Kharkiv region has been added to the settlements captured by Russian generals in their dreams, fantasies, and reports to their superiors. The Joint Forces Group reports that Russian troops do not only control Hlushkivka, but they are not present there, even in the form of a minor infiltration," the message reads.
Maps from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, based on operational information on the Russian invasion as of 8:00 a.m. Monday, and maps from the OSINT project DeepState, show Hlushkivka under the control of the Defense Forces. The US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in its February 8 summary shows Hlushkivka in the gray zone.
Hlushkivka is located approximately 10 kilometers south of Kupyansk on the left bank of the Oskol River.
