Latest Abrams tanks put into service with the Polish tank brigade
A batch of American Abrams M1A2SEPv3 tanks has been put into service with the 1st Warsaw Tank Brigade, the press service of the Polish Ministry of Defense has said.
"The 1st Warsaw Tank Brigade has accepted a batch of Abrams M1A2 SEPv3," the report said.
In December last year, the department reported the arrival of 32 Abrams M1A2SEPv3 tanks from the United States to Poland, which are subsequently being refined at Polish military plants.
The Polish army already has 116 Abrams tanks of previous versions, and tanks in a new modification are also being delivered.
The Abrams M1A2SEPv3 are distinguished by the use of composite armor, improved fire control systems, the ability to fire high-explosive fragmentation shells and a number of other improvements.
