SBU drones strike chemical plant in Russia's Tver region used by enemy's Defense Ministry

Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andriy Kovalenko has said on Saturday that Redkino Research Plant in Russia's Tver region was attacked, which covers the non-standard needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense for new Russian weapons.

This chemical enterprise "is part of the supply chains of the Russian military-industrial complex through dual-purpose and military chemical materials." The products are used for fuel components, explosives, initiators and technological mixtures used by defense enterprises, Kovalenko said on a Telegram post on Saturday.

Later, sources of Interfax-Ukraine in the SBU reported it was the SBU drones that struck the research plant in the village of Redkino, Tver region, Russia.

According to the SBU, fuel components for the Kh-55 and Kh-101 missiles, as well as fuel additives for diesel fuel and aviation kerosene, were regularly produced there. After the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the plant.

Russian media reported a fire at the enterprise in Konakovo district of Tver region after a UAV attack.
