In 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted three offensive operations, two of which were on Russian territory, stated Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky.

During a meeting with journalists on Thursday, he reported that, in 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted two offensive operations in Belgorod and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation. A third operation took place in Dobropillia sector.

"These actions thwarted the enemy's plans to seize Donetsk region and create so-called buffer zones," Syrsky said.
