OSCE stands ready to contribute to monitoring ceasefire – Cassis

The OSCE is ready to facilitate ceasefire monitoring if participating states agree, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ignazio Cassis said at Platform X after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday.

Together with OSCE Secretary General Sinirlioğlu, I met with President Zelenskyy in Kyiv. We reaffirmed our firm support for a just and lasting peace based on international law. The OSCE stands ready, should participating States agree and conditions allow, to contribute to monitoring a ceasefire and to supporting the implementation of a negotiated settlement to end the war,” Cassis said on X.
