The PURL program has provided about 75 percent of the missiles for the Patriot system and 90 percent for other air defense systems, and NATO is working to ensure the rapid delivery of additional equipment, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said.

“Since we started PURL last summer, it has supplied around 75% of all missiles for Ukraine’s Patriot batteries and 90% of the missiles used in other air defence systems. I know that more is urgently needed. And we are working to ensure that more comes quickly. Through PURL, and through every means possible,” Rutte said during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

Rutte announced a Ramstein meeting next week to resolve the issue, and will also meet with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Tuesday.

The NATO Secretary General assured Ukraine of his support today and in the years to come.

“We all support your sovereignty, your security and your pursuit of peace. We all want to see the war come to a just and lasting end. And we are committed to ensuring you have what you need to defend today and secure an enduring peace for the future,” he emphasized.
