The Russians once again disregarded American efforts by attacking energy and critical infrastructure last night. Ukraine will contact the United States regarding this matter, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

"In this war, the Russians have once again disregarded the efforts of the American side. The US President requested, as you know, that we refrain from attacks on energy and critical infrastructure during the meeting of our negotiating teams…. This [energy ceasefire] effectively began on Friday night, and today, in our opinion, the Russians broke their promise. So, either the Russians now believe there aren’t a full four days in a week, or they’re truly betting on war," Zelenskyy said during a press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Kyiv.

The President noted that today marked an "anti-record" for the enemy’s use of ballistic missiles, specifically 28 cruise missiles and 43 missiles of various types that follow a ballistic trajectory and can only be intercepted by Patriot systems.

"Everyone can see the weather, the most difficult days, the coldest days of this winter right now, and the attacks on infrastructure, primarily energy, to deprive people of electricity and heating, to deprive people of heat, and to cause blackouts. This is Russia’s true attitude toward everything that’s happening. We will be in contact with the American side about this," the head of state emphasized.
