FCDO Under-Secretary Robbins reviews Ukrainian Red Cross work
Permanent Under-Secretary of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Sir Oliver Robbins familiarised himself with the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) during the war.
"As a part of his trip to Kyiv, he visited a Ukrainian Red Cross heating point, where he saw first-hand how people affected by attacks on critical infrastructure are supported every day," the society said on Facebook on Friday.
Robbins was briefed on the key areas of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society's work in the context of the full-scale war – from emergency response, evacuation and humanitarian assistance to psychosocial support and recovery efforts. He also had the opportunity to speak directly with local residents and hear their stories.
