The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has registered Serhiy Lutsenko, the brother of the convicted former interior minister, Yuriy Lutsenko, as a member of Ukraine's parliament.
The Central Election Commission passed this decision unanimously at its meeting on Thursday.
Serhiy Lutsenko was 85th on the election list of the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc in the early parliamentary elections on September 30, 2007.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada terminated the powers of Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense MP Viktor Matchuk on July 3. Matchuk quit the Our Ukraine Party and therefore resigned as an MP.
