The Higher Specialized Court for Civil and Criminal Cases has put off the consideration of an appeal by the defense lawyers of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's against her sentence in the gas case until August 16.
The panel of judges made this decision on Thursday in response to a relevant motion from the prosecution. This has been the third postponement of the hearing. The first was explained by the absence of the defendant and the second by the need to wait for the results of a medical examination of Tymoshenko.
Presiding Judge Stanislav Mischenko said that the court had satisfied the prosecutors' motion only partially.
"The consideration of the case has been postponed until 1000 on August 16," the judge said.
The prosecutor asked the court to declare a break in the hearings until the findings of a medical examination of the ex-premier are received.
