Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to introduce amendments to Ukraine's state budget for 2012 to ensure the proper funding of salaries of court employees, and create the necessary conditions for the training by the National School of Judges of Ukraine of highly qualified personnel in the judicial system, the presidential press service reported on Tuesday.
The instruction states that the government, with the participation of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, should determine the necessary amount of funding in the general fund of the state budget for salaries to employees of local general and appellate courts.
According to the president's instruction, the government should determine the amount of funding for measures for the fulfillment by the National School of Judges of Ukraine of tasks in the special training of candidates for the posts of judges, the training of judges, and their regular training.
Yanukovych also ordered the government to ensure the preparation and submission in the prescribed manner for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of a bill introducing amendments to the Ukrainian law on the state budget for 2012, envisaging an increase in funding for the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine.
