The Ukrainian opposition has stated that the country needs early parliamentary and presidential elections.
"Ukraine needs early parliamentary and presidential elections," the head of the council of the united opposition and the leader of the Front for Change Party, Arseniy Yatseniuk, said at a briefing on Wednesday.
"The people of Ukraine did not elect [Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych to have the amount of power he has today. So, if the president has enough strength and courage to admit that he has led Ukraine towards a political crisis, political isolation, and turned Ukraine into a buffer zone between our Russian partners and the European Union, he has to call early parliamentary and presidential elections," Yatseniuk said.
"We're ready for this scenario," he said.
