France boss wants his team to beat Ukraine in Donetsk on Friday
France coach Laurent Blanc has said that his squad will do its best to defeat Ukraine in the second round of the Euro 2012 group stage.
At a press conference on the eve of the match in Donetsk on Thursday, Blanc said that his footballers should not repeat the mistakes of the first 30 minutes of the game against England, which could have led to their conceding several goals and losing the match.
He said the French team's task was to cope with pressure. At the same time, Blanc said that Ukraine would be under even greater pressure than before the match with Sweden.
The first match of the group D between France and England on June 11 ended in a 1-1 draw, while Ukraine defeated Sweden 2-1 on the same day, taking the lead in the group.
