Azarov wins bet on Ukraine-Sweden match, Swedish fan gives him beer
A fan of the Swedish national football team has presented some beer to Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine reported.
According to him, the Swedish fan met with the Ukrainian premier in the government's building. The fan gave Azarov six bottles of the Swedish beer.
The premier together with the fan drank a glass of beer, saying that he liked it.
Azarov also promised to support Sweden in the match against England on June 15.
He also presented Ukrainian traditional embroided shirt and bas-relief of Andriyivska Church to the fan.
The fan who lost the bet is a programmer and football lover. He has already been to Ukraine eleven times. The Swede assured that if Ukraine lost the match against Sweden, he would claim his beer from Azarov.
As reported, on June 11 communicating with the Swedish fans, Ukrainian premier offered a bet on the result of the match between Ukrainian and Swedish football teams.
"You place a bet on Sweden and I'll bet on Ukraine. I will owe you a bottle of beer if we [Ukrainian team] lose."
Ukraine defeated Sweden 2-1 on June 11.
