Germany defeats Netherlands 2-1, 'the orange' hanging by a thread now

The national football team of Germany has defeated the Netherlands team 2-1 in the sides' second group match of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship that took place on the Metalist stadium in Kharkiv.

The Germans opened the score. In the 24th minute Gomez easily scored the first goal and in the 38th minute he accurately doubled the score.

In the 73rd minute the Netherlands' Robin van Persie broke into the penalty area and made an incredible shot that won his team a goal.

In the end of the match, Germany skillfully protracted the game.

Thus, on the results of two rounds, Germany leads Group B with six points. It is followed by Denmark and Portugal with three points each. The Netherlands team has not gained points.
