Court hearing of Oksana Makar case to be open

A court has taken a decision on an open court hearing of the case of rape and murder victim Oksana Makar, apart from the court sessions at which secret evidence will be examined, the media liaisons department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has reported.

After returning from the deliberation room, the judges announced their decision on the petitions lodged by prosecutors and defense lawyers on the holding of a public hearing on the Makar case.

Judges satisfied the prosecutor's petition to hold a public court heating, except for some court sessions at which secret evidence will be studied.
