UEFA awards Kolesnikov, Surkis with Euro 2012 golden blossoms

UEFA has awarded Ukraine's Vice Premier - Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov and President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Hryhoriy Surkis with golden blossoms of the Euro 2012 for their titanic efforts and contribution to the organization of the championship.

Director of UEFA Euro 2012 in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky handed the honorary awards to Kolesnikov and Lubkivsky during a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, according to the Ukraine-2012 Information Center.

UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino earlier praised the work done by Ukraine's vice premier and the FFU president for the preparations for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

"We have slightly changed how we refer to two key individuals involved in preparations for Euro 2012. I'm talking about Mr. Surkis and Mr. Kolesnikov. We now call them 'Super Hryhoriy' and 'Super Borys,'" Infantino said.
