Kharkiv resident Vadym Slyusarev has become a co-owner of the American VR startup Lucid Reality Labs, according to the technology news portal dev.ua.

Lucid Reality Labs has been operating since 2016 and is a leader in the field of consulting, design, and development of immersive (immersive virtual reality - ed.) technologies. The Lucid Reality Labs team creates relevant trainings and simulations for healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, education, aerospace, and defense industries. The company works in a wide range of fields, including AR/VR/MR and the metaverse.

In 2021, Lucid Reality Labs received an award from the European Technology Award in the Virtual Reality category.

The startup is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and employs several dozen people. The company's CEO is Alex Dziuba. He actively advocates the development of immersive technologies, in particular, on the pages of the American Forbes.

Lucid Reality Labs has a profile on the job search site Work.ua, which means that it obviously employs Ukrainian IT specialists.

As mentioned above, Vadym Slyusarev became a co-owner of Lucid Reality Labs. This was preceded by a forced change in his business interests due to the war.

Vadym Slyusarev served in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine until 2015.  In 2015 (after his dismissal), he started his entrepreneurial activity, which involved the development of Duty Free outlets.

With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, a number of Vadym Slyusarev's business facilities were completely or partially destroyed. Accordingly, the entrepreneur began to invest in other industries and areas.

Some journalists once called Vadym Slyusarev allegedly involved in the  "Sluga narodu" (Servant of the People) party, but it's untrue. This information was not confirmed either by the party itself or by Mr. Slyusarev.

Vadym Slyusarev's lawyer, Olena Bardina, stated that “Vadym Slyusarev is an entrepreneur, he is not a member of the political council of the Servant of the People party, nor of the party itself.” She also emphasized that Vadym Slyusarev is not a public figure and does not engage in any political or public activities.
